    Our Vision
    {group_of_skydivers_holding_hands_in_formation.jpg}
By the end of 2014 we will have developed into an effective community of well-rounded individuals, who have developed new skills in a range of areas, to help us achieve our future goals.
To help us achieve our Vision we agree to:
    Make sensible choices.
Not distract others nor allow myself to become distracted.
Respect my own, and other peoples’ property and ideas.
    Show honesty and trustworthiness.
Use my manners, such as saying please and thank you.
    Participate in all tasks.
Approach tasks in a happy way.
Listen to others when they are talking.
Complete tasks in the time allocated.
    Help others.

This week students have been working on writing peoms about Australia and Australian people. Students have the option to enter their poem in the Man From Snowy River Festival Bush Poetry competition. Entry forms were handed to all students and if they choose to enter they need to return their signed entry form and entry fee ($1 per category) to school before Friday the 17th of March. Students also have the option to enter the performance category. The poetry performance will be held at the Youth Club Hall on Thursday April 3 and the entire grade 5/6 class will be walking down to watch the performances - regardless of whether they have entries.

Students are most welcome to ask for help before the start of the school day, or at recess and lunchtime, although not on the day that their Maths Mate is due.
    2. Spelling
    ...
on Quizlet. Students do not need a login for Quizlet. simply search for 'Corryong' in the Quizlet search bar and our class comes up first on the list. We are called 'Corryong 5/6 2014'. Spelling list words are also available on the Spelling page of the class Wiki.
    3. Reading
Each student is expected to read for at least 20 minutes every night. During this time students are to read material that is part of a larger piece of wiring, for example a novel. While it is important for students to read material from newspapers and magazines, it is important for students to begin to develop the habit of reading larger pieces for work. Both the school and Shire libraries have an excellent assortment of reading material.
