Our focus during Term 1 is looking at Microbes.microbes.jpg

We will be investigating the following:

  1. What do we think we know about bread, the bread-making process and the yeast micro-organism?
  2. What is the role of the yeast micro-organism work in the bread-making process?
  3. How does temperature affect the function that yeast performs in the bread-making process?
  4. How can we summarise, represent and explain our observations about the yeast micro-organism?
  5. Plan and conduct an investigation of the conditions that affect mould growth on food.
  6. Investigate the role of micro-organisms in the discovery and development of the antibotic, penicillin.
